This is England, started off as a film, and was released in 2006. The story of the film follows twelve year old Shaun in the summer of 1983 and the new friends he meets. A fight one day after school lead him to meet Woody, and he introduced his skinhead gang. This is the start of Shaun's new lease of life which includes going to parties, getting drunk, getting involved with girls.
The reason why I have linked this with my music video is because this era is a link to Indie rock, and the conventions of it. You may be able to see some similarities from this style to the things band members in indie rock bands wear. Take for example the skinny/straight leg jeans and the checked shirt this fashion from this era has influenced the music Indie rock genre. There fashion on the picture above is more of a statement, saying to people they are different, linking to the original term of Indie, also meaning individual. But also this fashion is telling everyone that they are part of a particular group.
The Target audience links in the way that these people want to be individual's, but also links with the classes being aimed at working to middle class.
